H-pattern gearboxes are commonplace in the vast majority of cars with manual transmissions, whether it is FWD, RWD or AWD.

Quaife Engineering offers a range of complete H-pattern gearboxes to suit various levels of motorsport, starting at a Clubman level synchromesh gearbox for a simple ratio change, all the way up to a complete dog engagement gearbox for those looking for much faster gear changes in higher level motorsport.

The majority of our H-pattern gearboxes are fitted with straight cut (spur) gears for motorsport use, but certain gearboxes are available with helical cut gears, which are quieter in operation, for fast road use where transmission noise is an issue.
